UK no credit check credit cards
If you have had any bad credit history within the last 6 years it’s likely that
major high
street lenders will reject your credit card application. For a prime lender any small blot on your credit history
could make them run a mile. Even if you have other credit cards that are close to their respective limits this may
be a sign to them that you are extending your means too much.
There are now some specialist “subprime” credit card companies that will let virtually anyone that exists have a credit card with a small limit. They have to be sure
that you are the person you say you are and they know where you live, but otherwise they will let anyone have
a visa credit card.
Cards for people with bad credit
Over time they will increase you credit limit if you keep the account in good order. For example say the credit
card company starts you off with a limit of £250, then after a year they may increase your limit by another £250 to
£500, and if you regularly use up most of that £500 each month and pay the entire bill on time, they will quite easily
increase your limit to over £1000.
The problem with these no credit check credit card companies is that the APR rates are very high, sometimes over
30%. You have to pay the entire bill each month or it will be very easy to end up paying £30 or £40 in interest in
just one month.
There are some store cards and debit cards that are quite easy to acquire too as long as you have some sort of
credit history, be it good or bad.
